Freewheel Holidays, a division of Sports Tours International, has announced four new self-guided bicycle vacation itineraries for 2018. The vacation packages will bring travelers to unique and memorable destinations in Europe, and will include bike rental, route planning, bus travel, luggage transfers, and more accommodations.
The four tours are:
- Austria’s Innsbruck to Salzburg: This bike tour connects the famous cities of Innsbruck and Salzburg on cycle paths, traveling up to 50 km each day. Visitors on the River Inn’s path will get to see the Karwendel Mountains on the way to the Zillertal (Ziller Valley), in preparation for crossing the Gerlos Pass by bus transfer. Having arrived in Salzburg, guests can marvel at Europe’s biggest waterfall before getting back on the bike and traveling along the Tauern cycle path. The popular path goes along the River Salzach on the way to Lake Zell, where guests can see Kitzsteinhorn Mountain. Finally, guests will arrive in the world-famous Salzburg. This 7-night trip is available from May through August; for more, visit http://www.freewheelholidays.co.uk/tour/innsbruck-to-salzburg-7-nights.
- Innsbruck to Munich: Begin your 6-night vacation at the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), the little-known landmark in Innsbrook, a building that has stood in Old Town since the 1500s. From there, cycle up to 60 km daily, primarily on cycle paths, between shifting landscapes and dialects to the city of Munich.
