G Adventures has been selected as a preferred adventure travel partner for AAA Travel, bringing its portfolio of more than 1,000 small-group trips worldwide to AAA’s 65 million members across North America.
The partnership marks a major expansion opportunity for the Toronto-based tour operator, which has built its reputation on “community tourism” — immersive experiences designed to benefit both travelers and the destinations they visit.
“We’re thrilled to partner with AAA Travel to introduce their members to the G Adventures’ expansive collection of life-changing travel experiences,” said Steven Lima, G Adventures’ vice president of growth for USA and Latin America. “AAA is one of the most trusted brands in North America, and we are honored that they have chosen to align themselves with G Adventures, a company founded on the belief that travel not only connects us, but also can be one of the most powerful forces for positive change in our world.”
Dedicated Sales Support for AAA Advisors
As part of the agreement, Timothy Knight has been promoted to national accounts sales manager, a new role focused exclusively on supporting AAA travel advisors. Knight will lead advisor education efforts and provide dedicated sales resources to help grow G Adventures bookings within the AAA network.
Community Impact Fund with Planeterra
The collaboration also includes the creation of a dedicated community tourism fund in partnership with G Adventures’ nonprofit partner, Planeterra. For each AAA booking on itineraries visiting a supported project, G Adventures will contribute to the fund.
The first beneficiary is the Asociación de Desarrollo Integral de San Luis (ADISL) in Costa Rica, a locally run cooperative that manages regional resources while preserving traditional culture and agricultural practices. Once a funding milestone is reached, additional projects will be selected with input from AAA.
Jeremy Brady, director of sales for the U.S. and Latin America at G Adventures, said the partnership is an opportunity to amplify the operator’s mission.
“This partnership is exciting because it allows us to expand what we do best: positively impact the lives of both the traveler and the places we visit,” he added.
Alignment with AAA Values
AAA Travel leaders say G Adventures was chosen following a comprehensive evaluation that considered safety, product quality, customer service, and alignment with AAA’s member-first values.
“Partnering with G Adventures means aligning with a global leader in responsible travel, an organization that not only delivers unforgettable experiences but also creates a lasting impact within the communities AAA members visit,” said Stacey Barber, vice president of AAA Travel. “It's travel with purpose, powered by passion and integrity, while making dreams come true for our members.”
Through the new relationship, AAA travel advisors and their clients will gain access to G Adventures’ trips across more than 100 countries, responding to growing demand for adventure and experiential travel.
