Kensington Tours and The Nordics Partner for Sustainable Travel

Kensington Tours has announced a new partnership with The Nordics, a collaboration with Visit Europe (European Travel Commission) and co-funded by the European Union that includes five countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. This partnership is set to promote sustainable travel experiences across these countries, focusing on both the natural wonders and the eco-conscious cities of the Nordic region.

In line with the shared goal of fostering sustainable cooperation, the partnership introduces itineraries that invite travelers to experience the region in a way that emphasizes care, preservation and a deep connection to the environment.

As part of this collaboration, Kensington has curated four itineraries that highlight the best of Nordic landscapes and culture, while ensuring a minimal environmental footprint. These include both new and updated itineraries exploring Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Here are a few sample itineraries:

  • Iceland & Copenhagen: Nature and Sustainability – This eight-day itinerary explores Iceland and Copenhagen. Travelers will explore Iceland’s volcanic wonders, glaciers and black sand beaches; and go biking through the streets of Copenhagen, savor local cuisine and marvel at its architecture.

Travelers will experience a blend of modernity and history in Copenhagen; explore Aarhus, discovering Viking history and modern sustainable practices; and visit Samso Island, a leader in sustainable living, and enjoy an exclusive tour at Moesgaard Museum.
  • Active Iceland – A popular existing itinerary featuring Iceland’s landscapes and active adventures, this seven-day trip is perfect for travelers looking to hike, bike, snorkel and explore while staying in eco-friendly accommodations. Led by a private guide, guests will explore landscapes, zipline through the Black Canyon, raft along the Golden Circle, discover ice caves and embark on a Zodiac boat ride through a glacial lagoon with towering icebergs.
