Globus is introducing off-beat, specially curated experiences on its all new Far East tours. Starting in 2018, both Globus and Cosmos are offering new vacations and escorted tours through China, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, India and Sri Lanka. Such experiences include practicing ancient Chinese calligraphy, hand-pulled noodle making in Japan, net fishing in Vietnam, exploring Angkor Wat or searching for tigers in India.
Globus’ 2018 vacations start at $2,014 per person (11-day Treasures of China), while Cosmos vacations start at $1,349 (13-day Thailand Experience). New vacations for 2018 include Globus’ 12-day Classic China & the Yangtze River itinerary and Cosmos’ 10-day Timeless Japan as well as the 11-day Grand Tour of Sri Lanka.
Most of Globus’ Asia vacations are also part of the company’s Small Group Discovery series, a program that limits the number of travelers on a tour to 20, giving them a chance for a more personalized service and authentic cultural experiences.
For those less interested in a group package, Globus’ sister brand, Monograms, provides a number of Asia itineraries for independent travelers that include getaways to Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai as well as regional experiences in South Korea, Japan and Vietnam.
Avalon Waterways is also increasing its tour services to Asia with a new suite ship coming in 2018: the Avalon Saigon. The ship will sail two new itineraries down the Mekong River: The Heart of Cambodia & Vietnam (18 days) and the Ultimate Southeast Asia & the Majestic Mekong program (21 days).
Early bookers can save 5 percent on Globus Asia and $50 on Cosmos Asia vacations. For more information, visit www.globusjourneys.com.
