Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand, Journese, have announced an expansion of their vacation options in Asia with the addition of Indonesia and Malaysia, besides vacations to the Maldives for Pleasant Holidays, which was earlier exclusive to Journese. The new destinations are open for booking.
The expansion adds 65 hotels to both the brands’ portfolios, along with 11 hotels in the Maldives for Pleasant Holidays and a range of available commissionable activities, including private options. Travelers can choose from 200 activities throughout Asia. These include city tours, nature experiences, temple visits, cultural experiences, wildlife encounters and food tours in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Maldives.
“These new destinations offer travelers a chance to connect with nature and spirituality in Ubud on the Indonesian island of Bali, with its mountainside rice paddies, rainforest, cultural experiences and marketplace that served as the backdrop for the film ‘Eat Pray Love,’” said Jack E. Richards, president and CEO. Other options include Java’s Borobudur Temple, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, he added.
Two mini-packages are available, offering travelers a one- or two-night excursion. In Malaysia, the mini-package offers an overnight adventure to spot orangutans and sun bears, besides an evening river cruise. Departing from Tokyo, the Kanazawa mini-package affords the chance to explore Takayama’s old town, a lively market and Shirakawago Observatory, followed by a visit to a samurai residence, Japanese gardens, teahouse and shops.
Pleasant Holidays and Journese offer cruise vacations to Asia aboard Windstar Cruises, Scenic Cruises and AmaWaterways, including pre- and post-cruise hotel stays with easy port access. Pleasant Holidays also offers itineraries including Asia on Norwegian Cruise Line. Flights are available on all major airlines serving Asia and the Maldives from cities across the U.S.
