Travelers in Ireland for Halloween this October can choose between two tours from Vagabond Small Group Tours of Ireland. Visitors can pick between an active eight-day tour full of outdoor activities and a slower six-day trip requiring less physical energy.
As part of its Vagabond Adventure Tours, a collection of more active itineraries, the tour company will offer the eight-day Wild Irish Rover Tour. The trip, leaving October 14, provides opportunities for hiking, horse-riding, cycling and sea-kayaking.
Guests will start off the first two days hiking, walking through Connemara National Park and along the Cliffs of Moher. As the trips goes on, travelers can surf in Castlegregory, ride horses on Ventry Strand, kayak in Dingle Bay, bike in Killarney National Park and explore ancient castles and forts. While in Dingle, they can spend two nights on a bar crawl through the town’s 54 pubs. Other highlights include exploring Skellig Michael, visiting the Uragh Stone Circle and seeing Blarney Castle.
For less physically active travelers, Vagabond Small Group Tours will operate the six-day Ancient Ireland Tour as part of its Driftwood Journeys of Discovery program. Departing October 14 and 28, the trip will take travelers to Ireland’s museums, gardens and scenic areas. Some of the highlights on this trip are the Wicklow Mountains, the Comeragh Drive, Kilkenny Castle and Blarney Castle.
