Linblad Expeditions-National Geographic has just announced a partnership with lifestyle brand exhale, in which the two companies will co-offer their “Base Camp Baja” wellness voyages.
These three- and four-day voyages will set off through Mexico’s Sea of Cortez, exploring destinations such as Espiritu Santo and Isla Partida aboard the 30-cabin National Geographic Seabird. In a written release, exhale said that the Sea of Cortez is “famed for its pristine beauty, a wide-open region of sea, bays and beaches.”
Each day on the trips will be customizable for travelers, whether they choose to snorkel with the sea lions and schools of fish, explore the coastline by kayak or paddleboard, or participate in well-being programs and beachside bonfires and barbecues, among other adventurous activities.
In this new partnership, guests will be able to participate in health-based wellness programs with fitness teachers, spa therapist or exhale-trained Linblad Wellness specialists. Programs offered are Core Fusion Barre, Bootcamp, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Power Yoga Classes on deck, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) yoga, mindfulness hikes and assisted stretching. There will also be hour-long neck and shoulder massages offered prior to evening cocktails as well as evening exhale Chill Yoga classes accompanied by group-guided meditation. The exhale experience will also offer tasty and healthy food options throughout the journey, as well as spa therapies and in-room products.
CEO and President of Linblad Expeditions Sven Lindblad said in a written release that he “can think of no better place to realize the mindfulness that exhale offers” than the Sea of Cortez, a place he considers “among the most peaceful corners of the world.” He added that as a partner, exhale “values the strength of guest programming, is passionate about providing a world class experience and whose caliber of teachers aligns with [Linblad Expeditions’] renowned expedition team.”
Annbeth Eschbach, CEO and president of exhale, said in the release that “it is a joy to to partner with a like-minded team to bring well-being aboard the National Geographic Seabird,” the “floating base camp” where the partners will “inspire transformation” among guests.
There will be seven Base Camp Baja departures starting in December 2017 and going through January 2018.
