Amadeus has partnered with Flybe, the largest regional airline in Europe.
The move will allow Flybe to implement a range of new technology solutions through Amadeus’ Altea Suite, and will support Flybe’s continuing business improvement strategy, which includes providing a highly personalized, industry leading and interactive digital offering before, during and after travel, Amadeus said. Amadeus’ mobile solutions will also offer the airline’s passengers re-accommodation options during times of disruption, directly within Flybe’s mobile app.
Flybe CEO Christine Ourmières-Widener said that the new partnership will allow the airline to drive revenue.
A key part of Flybe’s business strategy is focused on delivering an industry leading online customer experience, Amadeus said. The adoption of the full Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS), providing closely integrated passenger data and the ability to deliver a more consistent service across all customer touchpoints, will enable this objective to be met. The technology will also help Flybe drive up revenue though the innovative and multiple sales channels offered by the Altéa Suite.
In a written release Amadeus Senior Vice President, Airlines Julia Sattel said that Flybe generates around 80 percent of its revenues online.
In addition to the Altéa Suite, Flybe has signed for Amadeus e-Retail, Amadeus Anytime Merchandising, and Amadeus Customer Experience Management. The technology will be implemented by the end of 2018.
