American Airlines is adding two new routes in Mexico to its network. The airline made the announcement as part of its newly released winter schedule.
This winter, the airline will begin flying to Huatulco and Acapulco in Mexico. The new flights, which the airline will fly out of Dallas – Forth Worth, will begin December 21, marking the only nonstop service out of Fort Worth. On December 18, the airline will also add an additional daily flight between Phoenix and Chihuahua, complementing its existing daily service from Fort Worth.
American will operate the two flights out of Fort Worth on E175 aircraft. They will run twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, for the winter and summer season. The flight out of Phoenix, operated on a CRJ700, will operate year-round.
All three new flights are now available for purchase.
The new flights to Mexico are part of a number of new expansions in Latin America for the airline this winter. American is also launching a new direct, daily flight to Georgetown, Guyana, from New York City’s JFK Airport, as well as new service to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands out of Dallas – Fort Worth and Chicago O’Hare on December 21.
