According to the latest forecast from Accuweather, snow and high winds could cause local whiteout and blizzard conditions across the north-central United States Monday, with the worst conditions expected across the Dakotas, from Bismarck and Fargo, North Dakota, to Pierre, South Dakota. Poor visibility is also likely in Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
While that storm is set to fizzle Tuesday and into Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday could see more travel disruptions from another storm system in the northeast, according a separate Accuweather report. The region could be in for substantial snow, soaking rain and strong winds, all of which could lead to flight cancellations or delays.
Travel Waivers
Delta has issued a travel waiver for travelers set to fly today through Minneapolis – St. Paul airport. The ticket must be reissued on or before March 8, with rebooked travel to begin no later than that date.
Sun Country Airlines is allowing customers traveling to or from Minneapolis – St. Paul March 5 and March 6 to rebook to another Sun Country flight one time with no additional charges, provided space is available within the same cabin as the original ticket. Travel must commence by March 9, and tickets remain non-refundable, the airline said.
