Delta Sky Club is opening a second lounge at its John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) hub, located at Terminal 4 near Gate A7. The nearly 14,000-square-foot Club, which seats more than 250 guests and includes a covered Sky Deck, will operate alongside the Club on Terminal 4, Concourse B. Together the two Clubs will have capacity for over 800 guests simultaneously at JFK.
A fireplace lounge provides cozy ambiance and offers guests views of the airfield. There is also a nook with green seating that evokes the privacy of a classic speakeasy. A 360-degree bar serves as the Club’s centerpiece.
As part of Delta Sky Club’s commitment to highlighting local, emerging chefs through its "Local Flavor" program, the JFK T4-A Club will feature the work of Elyssa Heller, founder and CEO of Edith’s Eatery & Grocery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Guests of the T4-A Club can enjoy Elyssa’s takes on Jewish deli staples like brisket hash sandwich, vegetarian latkes and labneh parfait, topping off with a taste of Edith’s famous vegan Iced Café Slushie (cold brew, tahini, oat milk and simple syrup). Elyssa’s recipes will be available in the Club through the end of September.
Since 2010, Delta has invested over $7 billion in infrastructure at its New York airports—including a $1.5 billion expansion project at JFK, which broke ground in late 2021. In January 2023, Delta consolidated all operations to Terminal 4, opening 10 new gates in the modernized, spacious Concourse A and making technology enhancements designed to maximize ease and efficiency during busy travel times, including self-service check-in kiosks and upgraded bag drop locations. An expansion of Concourse B, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2023, will include 28 gates that can accommodate various aircraft types, updated restrooms, and an expanded security checkpoint and baggage claim area.
New in Minnesota
Recently, Delta also opened its third Sky Club at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). The airport’s third Club adds more than 21,000 square feet of premium space to Delta’s lounge portfolio, making it by far the largest at Delta’s Minneapolis hub.
With seating for more than 450, customers visiting MSP-G Club will have ample space whether they’re looking to work, socialize or simply take in the views of the airfield. The club is moving to over 90 percent waste diversion, meaning a large majority of club waste is diverted from landfills via recycling or composting.
The Club includes a year-round, all-weather Sky Deck with seating for 110 guests. This first-of-its kind Sky Deck is bookended by two completely open-air elements—one of which has a living plant wall, with seasonal foliage refreshed three times annually—and is suffused with natural light streaming from the overhead skylight. Guests unwinding in this space can also enjoy a drink from one of the Club’s premium bars, located on the deck.
Additional amenities of the Club include three kiosks for quick and easy self-check-in; a full buffet; two premium bars and three soundproof booths for quiet work.
