It’s pretty rare to see airlines offering incentives to travel agents these days, but that’s exactly what Sunrise Airways is doing with its new “Book 10, Fly Free” travel agent incentive program in support of its new nonstop service from Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Miami and Orlando.
Under terms of the program, travel agents earn one free round-trip ticket aboard Sunrise Airways, which is based in Haiti, to any Sunrise Airways destination each time they book 10 round-trip flights along the carrier’s new Miami and Orlando routes.
Travel Agent was the first to bring you the news back in April when Sunrise Airways, an airline based in Haiti, announced it would introduce its first nonstop flights from the U.S. to Port-au-Prince. Travel Agent also got the scoop back in August on the schedule details of the new flights.
The Sunrise Airways “Book 10, Fly Free” program is open to accredited travel agents based throughout North America, Haiti, and the broader Caribbean region.
Eligible bookings must be made between October 1 and December 31. Free round trip tickets will be awarded on a space available basis and must be redeemed within 12 months of the award issue date. Blackout dates apply to all major holiday periods. Taxes and service fee charges will be the responsibility of travel agent awardees. Additional restrictions may apply.
Sunrise Airways’ new nonstop service to/from Miami will operate three times weekly beginning November 14. The carrier’s Orlando flights will launch Oct. 18, operating four times weekly. Notably, the new Orlando flights represent the first-ever nonstop flights connecting Haiti with Central Florida.
Sunrise Airways will deploy a new Boeing 737-800 along its new routes to/from Miami and Orlando. The new Sunrise Airways Boeing 737 will feature two classes of service – business and economy – with maximum seating for 168 passengers; 18 in business class, 150 in economy. The aircraft sports a new livery, all-leather seating, and inflight video entertainment. Delivery is expected during the first week of October.
The Sunrise Airways fleet also includes a 150-seat Airbus A320, which is currently deployed along Sunrise Airways routes from its hub in Port-au-Prince to three gateways in Cuba – Havana, Santiago de Cuba and Camaguey.
