JetBlue and airberlin have announced a new cooperation agreement that the two airlines say will improve transfer connections in the United States.
Under the new agreement passengers will be able to book their flights to the United States with airberlin, as well as connecting flights operated by JetBlue, to 31 destinations in the United States. The new connections will start September 12, 2017, from New York (JFK), Boston and Orlando.
JFK is JetBlue’s central hub, allowing airberlin passengers to connect to flights throughout the United States. Airberlin flies to New York twice a day from Dusseldorf and once a day from Berlin. Baggage will be registered through on all connecting flights to the respective destination airport.
The two airlines said they also plan to extend the cooperation agreement to include frequent flyer programs in the future, allowing members of topbonus to be able to earn miles on JetBlue flights.
