Lufthansa has announced it will operate almost all of its scheduled flights on Thursday, December 1. 40 flights that day will be canceled in the wake of the strike that has been impacting the airline since November 23.
Lufthansa also said it asks all of its customers intending to fly Thursday to check the latest status of their flight on LH.com before leaving for the airport. Travelers who have provided contact details in their customer profile will be actively informed via email or SMS text message of any cancellation affecting them.
A total of 890 Lufthansa flights affecting some 98,000 travelers have been cancelled today as a result of the latest strike action by the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) pilots’ union. All in all, the six days of strike action since last Wednesday have caused the cancellation of 4,461 flights affecting over 525,000 Lufthansa customers.
Today Lufthansa announced it had made an offer to VC of a two-step 4.4 percent increase in remuneration plus a one-off payment.
