Sunwing AirlinesĀ reports that it is going to resume its St. Maarten-bound service in 2019. Starting atĀ the end of February, travelers will be able to fly to The Friendly Islandās Princess Juliana Airport from Toronto and Montreal.Ā Sunwing had beenĀ operating these flights before last year's HurricaneĀ Irma, and had halted them while the island recovered.
Flight details are:
- The flights will be departing from Toronto's Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). Flights will operate weekly and take place eachĀ Thursday. From Toronto, flights will depart atĀ 10:30 am, while from Montreal, flights will depart atĀ 1:45 pm.
Additional details are:
- Sunwing will reinstitute its weekly flight service from both Montreal and Toronto onĀ February 28, 2019, and will operate year-round.Ā Sonesta St. Maarten resorts and Sunwing Vacations will collaborate to offer seven-night packages to both the Sonesta Ocean Point and the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa.Ā
- For those who would like to stay at the Maho Beach resort, packages will start fromĀ $1,595 CAD per person for those traveling from Toronto and $1,645 CAD per person for those departing from Montreal. And for those looking to go to the Point resort, seven-night packages will be available from $2,795 CAD per person from Montreal and $2,845 CAD per person from Montreal. (Please note all prices are in Canadian dollars).
- All packages are based on double occupancy of the resorts' Superior Rooms on an all-inclusive basis. They include return flights onboard Sunwing Airlines, services of a Sunwing Experiences representative and local transfers. Prices are subject to availability and include an early booking discount that is offered untilĀ September 30, 2018.
