The Surprising Drinks Order That Annoys Flight Attendants the Most

by Soo Kim, The Telegraph, July 19, 2017

A flight attendant has revealed the most irritating drinks order a passenger can make at 36,000 feet.

But it's not three different variations of a martini, it is actually just an innocuous Diet Coke

"As you may know, the aircraft cabin is not pressurised to sea level, but rather to the equivalent of about seven or eight thousand feet," writes "Jet" on her blog. "This means some passengers might feel a little light headed or that alcohol affects them almost twice as much as it would on the ground.

"It also means soft drinks foam up a lot more when poured out of a can. The worst culprit for this is Diet Coke.

"I literally have to sit and wait for the bubbles to fall before I can continue to pouring. If all three passengers ask for Diet Coke I'll often get them started, take another three drink orders, and then finish the Diet Cokes."

You heard it here first. Pouring a Diet Coke at altitude is like serving a Guinness and cabin crew, frankly, don't have the time.

Rather unsurprisingly ordering a Diet Coke is not only request that irritates the cabin crew. Here's a list of other comments made about the annoying habits of air passengers, listed on a Facebook group.
