Tenerife Boosts Connectivity to Miami With Daily Flights via Madrid

Tenerife is enhancing its connectivity with Miami through Air Europa, a key airline linking the two locations. As the second-largest U.S. airport for passenger traffic to Tenerife, Miami plays a vital role in broadening Tenerife’s accessibility for North American travelers. The island’s strategic collaboration with Air Europa ensures seamless access via the airline’s Madrid hub.

As part of this initiative, Turismo de Tenerife has intensified promotional efforts in Miami, showcasing the island’s diverse offerings, from natural wonders to gastronomy and adventure tourism. The goal is to attract high-value travelers who seek immersive, authentic experiences while supporting Tenerife’s commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism.

“Strengthening connectivity with Miami is a fundamental step in our internationalization strategy. With daily flights and a layover of less than three hours in Madrid, travelers from Miami can reach Tenerife with ease, experiencing the island’s unique blend of relaxation, adventure, and luxury,” added Dimple Melwani, CEO of Turismo de Tenerife.

Tenerife hosted a two-day experiential activation at Brickell City Centre to further engage Miami travelers through interactive exhibits and audiovisual presentations, immersing visitors in the destination’s landscapes, culture and world-class experiences. The campaign also included a giveaway for two round-trip Air Europa tickets.

Key executives from Turismo de Tenerife and Air Europa attended the event, including José Manuel Delgado, Air Europa’s chief financial officer; Patricio Zanetta, sales manager for the U.S. and Canada; and Sales Executives Beatriz Quintanilla and Xavier Duran. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to delivering seamless connectivity and high-quality travel experiences, positioning Tenerife as a must-visit destination for American travelers.
