United Airlines is planning to add to its route network with more destinations, more flights and more connections for domestic and international customers.
“Starting this summer we’re offering more flights to more destinations at more convenient times than in recent memory,” said Scott Kirby, president of United Airlines. “And with bigger and more modern aircraft for many of our flights, we’ll be getting you to the moments that matter most – relaxed and ready to go.”
New International Service
United’s seasonal flight between San Francisco International Airport and Munich Airport will begin May 24 with service from MUC to SFO returning the next day.
Beginning May 5, United will operate one of its Newark-Tel Aviv flights with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft which features the all new United Polaris seats.
New Domestic Service
United is adding service to thirteen cities, including San Luis Obispo, California; Sacramento, California; Charlottesville, Virginia; Reno, Nevada; Spokane, Washington; Springfield, Missouri; Cincinnati, Ohio; Detroit; Hartford, Connecticut; and four all-new destinations: Champaign/Urbana, Illinois; Columbia, Missouri; Rochester, Minnesota and United’s shortest flight to Santa Rosa, California.
United is also introducing daily summer service in six markets including: Kona, Hawaii; Salt Lake City, Utah; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Tuscon, Arizona; New Orleans; and Kalispell, Montana.
In total, United is adding 47 new daily round trip flights to its domestic schedule. The flights will add nearly 8,700 additional seats per day and approximately 90,000 new flight miles. The flights are now available for purchase with domestic service beginning as soon as June 8.
