Luxury vacation home rental company Le Collectionist has announced the acquisition of luxury villa operator The Greek Villas. The acquisition follows a record-breaking year for the latter in 2022. Le Collectionist is pursuing its developments with acquisitions in new markets and a strengthening of its offering in the destinations it already operates.
Le Collectionist launched in 2013, selecting "the most beautiful rental homes around the world where guests can create memories with loved ones." The villa operator offers guests experiences tested by its team and has members in each destination available to assist with requests at any time, ensuring every holiday is perfect. Founded in 2012, The Greek Villas portfolio consists of more than 500 villas across 34 Greek islands and destinations, with a strong presence in the Cyclades and Ionian islands.
Le Collectionist and The Greek Villas say they hold similar values and a shared vision. The Greek Villas bolsters Le Collectionist’s portfolio, providing a specialist offering in the country.
Max Aniort, the co-founder and the CEO of Le Collectionist, said: “Our strategy is driven by our desire to partner with regional leaders to deliver the best experience to our customers by being as local as possible and by leveraging their destination expertise. We are therefore delighted to welcome The Greek Villas to Le Collectionist.”
The acquisition is part of Le Collectionist’s long-term strategy to grow the brand through acquisitions in new markets, and to consolidate its leadership in existing destinations. The Greek Villas continues to expand its offering across Greece, with a whole host of new properties continuously being added to its collection and set to launch in 2023.
