ALG Vacations Hosts Kindness Conference & Kindness Connect

ALG Vacations (ALGV) recently hosted the second annual Kindness Conference, an event dedicated to celebrating and promoting kindness within the travel industry. This year’s conference, which took place at Secrets Tides Punta Cana, gathered a group of 40 "next-gen" travel advisors committed to making a positive impact worldwide. In addition, ALGV presented its inaugural Kindness Connection, hosting 40 travel advisors with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Alongside them, the event was joined by 10 rising leaders from ALG Vacations' marketing, sales, operations and finance teams, as well as representatives from Trisept, Amstar DMC and the Inclusive Collection, part of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.

Under the theme of “Kindness in Action,” the conference focused on three principles: kindness to ourselves, kindness to others and kindness in travel. Keynote speaker Hannah Waddingham, Emmy Award-winning television, film and theater actress and singer, shared her insights on kindness and its transformative power in both personal and professional realms.

Throughout the conference, participants engaged in discussions and workshops designed to explore the impact of kindness in the travel industry, share industry insights and foster connections. The agenda included sessions on professional development, wellness, self-care, giving back to communities in need, and promoting respect for diverse cultures and destinations. In addition, attendees visited the Cañada Honda Rural School and the Fundación Un Mundo Mejor Para La Niñez Desamparada, where they donated supplies and assisted with minor renovations needed to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for students. The Fundación Un Mundo Mejor Para La Niñez Desamparada fosters a mission of caring for vulnerable and abandoned children—a mission ALGV supports.

Through Kindness Conference and Kindness Connection, ALG Vacations aims to promote positive change and set new standards of kindness within the travel industry. By bringing together thought leaders and emerging talents, the events make an effort to inspire attendees to integrate kindness into their professional and personal lives.

Advisors interested in attending next year’s events can contact their business development manager for more information. Eligible attendees must be ALGV Pro-certified. For more information on ALG Vacations’ Kindness initiatives, visit www.algvacations.com.
