AMResorts, an Apple Leisure Group company, hosted its second annual Amazing Agent Celebration in Cancun, Mexico. The three-day gathering held at AMR Collection’s Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort honored around 90 top-performing advisors and travel advisor leadership from the United States and Canada. The event showcased Apple Leisure Group and AMR Collection’s appreciation for its loyal travel advisor community with complimentary travel and resort accommodations for advisors with a guest, and dedicated programming to experience its brands, while offering advisors access to meet and engage with executives and senior leadership from AMResorts, Apple Leisure Group and Hyatt.
The Amazing Agent Celebration was held from December 1-3, 2021 and included a welcome reception, executive panel, first look at Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa during its grand opening event, resort activities, outdoor excursions and a gala to conclude the event. Executives in attendance included Mark Hoplamazian, president and CEO of Hyatt; Alejandro Reynal, president and CEO of Apple Leisure Group; Gonzalo del Peón, group president of AMResorts Americas and global commercial; Kevin Wojciechowski, senior vice-president, sales and distribution of AMResorts; Mary Ellen Burke, national director of sales of AMResorts; Carolina Bellina, senior director of Canadian sales and consortia relations of AMResorts; and Erica Doyne, senior vice-president of marketing and communications of AMResorts.
“The travel agents honored at the AMR Collection Amazing Agent Celebration this week represent the best in the industry. Because of their expertise and leadership, the guests they serve enjoy seamless travel experiences at the finest resorts in Mexico and beyond,” said Wojciechowski.
Advisors were awarded 3.5 million points in giveaways, besides a three-night stay in 2022 at the Secrets Moxché Playa Del Carmen, which is scheduled to open in February. The gala concluded with a surprise award presentation recognizing six advisors who created a positive impact through their exceptional work in the industry.
Attendees earned their place at this year’s Amazing Agent Celebration based on the number of room nights registered with AMRewards from January 2019 through June 30, 2021. Advisors will get the chance to be selected to attend the 2022 Amazing Agent Celebration based on their room nights registered from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
