The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is rolling out a series of online webinars and trainings that provides travel advisor members with new resources to better serve their clients, raise their profile and increase sales.
Media & Marketing Training
With decades of experience and proven success, a panel of experts teaches travel advisors how to leverage the media in their local networks and become the “go-to” travel expert in their community. The panel includes Erika Richter, VP of Communications at ASTA; Sandra McLemore, travel marketing & media founder, TV host and online marketing expert; and Emmy Award-winning producer and director Anthony McLemore. For exclusive Q&A in the private Facebook group, visit the ASTA Member Lounge, on Friday, October 21 at 12:30pm ET.
Federal Rulemaking Impacts
ASTA's General Counsel, Peter Lobasso, discusses past Department of Labor (DOL) issues and reviews the Department of Transportation (DOT) testimony submission process. Also covered are the recent federal rulemakings that ASTA was involved in, how our advocacy efforts made a difference and what ASTA is doing/will be doing to influence the current DOT rulemaking on air ticket refunds.
Are You REAL ID Ready?
Remember REAL ID? Well, the new deadline for implementation is coming – May 3, 2023. During this webinar, Simone Davis of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will provide ASTA members a refresher on the biggest change to airport screening procedures in years so you can make sure clients avoid unnecessary travel disruption next summer. The live webinar is Wednesday, October 19 at 2pm ET.
Professional Service Fees
This training is about professional service fees. What can travel advisors charge? How do you talk about your fees with clients? Training is scheduled for Thursday, November 17 at 2 p.m. ET in the ASTA Member Lounge, ASTA's private Facebook Group.
Members can access exclusive on-demand content via the video library on asta.org. All upcoming trainings will be added to the video library after they air live. These benefits are for ASTA members only. For more information, reach out to the membership team at askasta@asta.org
