The American Society of Travel Advisors has partnered with Signature Travel Network to offer its industry training courses as part of Signature Embark, Signature’s new-to-industry training program for mastering sales success. This move comes as the trade association has increased its investment in education and its commitment to attracting new advisors to the industry.
“We’re both honored and grateful that Signature is partnering with us on this important initiative, as we recruit qualified, professional and well-trained new advisors to the rewarding career of travel,” said Zane Kerby, ASTA’s president and CEO. “I want to thank Alex Sharpe and the entire Signature team for committing to this endeavor.”
ASTA courses now included with Signature Embark:
- Roadmap to Becoming a Travel Advisor: Provides those new-to-industry with the foundational understanding of how the travel industry and a travel agency operates.
- GeoCultural Guide for Travel Advisors: Designed to provide a broad understanding of geography and culture, primarily as it applies to front-line travel advisors.
- Top Notch Customer Service: Fundamental customer service skills to strengthen client relationships and generate repeats and referrals
As part of the agreement, Signature will have access to these courses over an initial three-year period.
“ASTA’s courses are an ideal fit for Signature Embark, our new training program,” said Gina Weyer, vice president of training at Signature Travel Network. “The courses provide those new-to-industry with an understanding of the travel industry as well as essential knowledge on vacation planning geography and customer service that complement our program core topics which are focused on sales”
The new program was announced at Signature’s Owners’ Meeting and launched on September 14th.
