Avoya Travel has released its schedule of in-person and virtual events for 2024.
In-Person Events
This year, Avoya Travel introduced Avoya Regionals, a series of events spanning across the United States that will convene independent agencies in the Avoya Network, supplier partners and Avoya staff. These two-day events were created to provide additional opportunities for independent agencies to engage in interactive discussions, gain industry knowledge and forge connections. The inaugural Avoya Regional took place in San Diego from February 2-3. The subsequent Avoya Regionals will be held in South Florida, April 14-15; Atlanta, August 9-10; and Texas, October 18-19.
Avoya Travel will also host seven Avoya Socials in 2024, with four accompanying each corresponding Avoya Regional and three additional standalone Avoya Socials in Las Vegas on March 24; Dallas on May 28; and Ft. Lauderdale on July 17, all tied to large industry events. These events were crafted to provide agencies with dedicated time to build and foster relationships through organic interaction, games, food and drinks, and a fun atmosphere. The Avoya Socials will also be open to supplier partners that would like to further experience Avoya’s culture.
The annual Avoya Land Forum will take place at Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau, Bahamas June 24-28. The sold-out event will provide an opportunity for agencies to be introduced to even more land products and strengthen existing relationships with land suppliers while focusing on developing their skills in selling land vacations through specialized education.
Avoya will host its second annual Million Dollar Showcase this year, an invitation-only event offered to top-producing Avoya Network members who generate at least $1 million in vacation sales during the prior year. This year’s event, which will take place in Florida during the last week of July, will once again feature educational and networking opportunities curated for top-selling independent agencies.
This year, the annual Avoya Conference will take place in Canada for the first time, sailing from Québec City to New York City onboard the Norwegian Joy from September 25 to October 2. The event will convene both seasoned and new travel advisors for a week of educational opportunities, informative roundtables, one-on-one meetings, announcements and a plethora of networking events to help foster valuable relationships across the travel industry.
Virtual Events
Avoya will also continue its foundational learning series, which was created to help advisors who are new to the travel industry establish a strong foundation for their businesses. The series, introduced in 2023 and rebranded in 2024 as Early Success Masterclasses, will consist of four installments that progressively build off one another by centering on a different educational focus based on the time of year and trajectory of building a successful new travel business. Early Success Masterclasses will be hosted virtually February 23-24, May 18-19, August 23-24 and December 7-8.
Beginning in March, Avoya will begin hosting Destination Days monthly, an all-new series of virtual events designed to educate agencies on a specific destination and/or travel type. Attendees will have exclusive access to learn from suppliers and tourism boards specializing in 10 destinations throughout the year, helping them become an expert in each featured part of the world and the relevant vacation products. Independent agencies will receive an Avoya passport stamp for each Destination Day they attend, a special destination designation for their participation, and a certificate for passing each Destination Day exam.
