Host agency Chai Travel Advisors has announced leadership changes and significant achievements made during its first 18 months of operations.
The company has appointed Monty Swaney as its new president. Swaney most recently served as the chief business officer of Internova’s Global Travel Collection. He will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the next stages of Chai’s growth.
Michael Liben, CEO of Chai Travel said, “Our early success has proven that there is a place in our industry for a company built on the values of family, fun, and hard work. Building a leadership team with experience providing the level of service our advisors expect is at the core of what we set out to do. Monty shares that vision and we are thrilled he has chosen to partner with us at Chai.”
David Buda, the outgoing president, will continue to provide his experience and insight to the company in his new role as senior consultant. Liben added, “David’s wisdom, attitude, and experience was critical to our early success—we are very pleased that he has chosen to stay on during our next phase.”
In just 18 months, the company has attracted a core group of high-value and high-touch travel advisors. In July of 2023, Chai also opened its first office in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.
