Cruise Planners recently held its second Elite Summit in 2024 for its top-producing travel advisor franchisees aboard Ponant's Le Lyrial. The event convened about 100 of Cruise Planners’ highest-performing travel advisors and 14 cruise and tour suppliers. Hosted by three of Cruise Planners’ executives, the group embarked on a voyage through the landscapes of the Arctic region.
The Elite Summit commenced with embarkation in Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen, where attendees were welcomed by Captain Fabien Roché. In a heartfelt message, Captain Roché shared his lifelong passion for the sea and his extensive experience with Ponant, promising a unique and enriching journey for all participants. The itinerary included stops at Hornsund, Bellsund, Raudfjorden and Nordvest-Spitsbergen National Park.
The expedition included daily zodiac tours searching for polar bears, walruses, seals, Arctic foxes and whales and landings to explore the Arctic tundra. Attendees were also treated to a series of educational sessions, networking opportunities and supplier hosted dinners. The experience was not only a reward for being a top-producing advisor for Cruise Planners but also to enhance their knowledge and expertise in expedition travel. The summit also featured presentations from top suppliers, providing insights into the latest trends and products in the travel industry.
