FamGuru, a travel technology company founded by industry veteran Carrie Wallace, has announced its one-year anniversary this August.
Since launch, FamGuru has raised $450,000 in investment capital, secured from both industry stakeholders and professional investors. The platform has also seen significant adoption, with 4,000 users now subscribed. In its first year FamGuru's users have created over 2,000 Fam trips worldwide. In addition, the app has attracted a wide range of early adopters—from hotels and destination management companies (DMCs) to hospitality representation firms, wholesalers and travel advisors. To that point, brands including Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Jumeirah Hotels, Banyan Tree and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts have used FamGuru software.
Responding to market feedback and needs, FamGuru has introduced several new upgrades. Users can now benefit from interchangeable app and website platforms, ensuring seamless access and functionality across devices. The introduction of FamGuru Messaging provides an alternative to WhatsApp, while suppliers on FamGuru have the ability to create custom libraries to save time.
As FamGuru approaches its second year, the company has plans to develop FamGuru for Agencies, to aggregate advisor Fam knowledge. Also on the horizon are FamGuru’s Cruise Capability and a continued focus on the user experience.
