The Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel (NEST) continues to capitalize on the travel industry's growing shift toward home-based business models, adding 36 agencies so far in 2026 that represent $91 million in preferred partner sales.

The gains build on a standout 2025, when 88 agencies joined the network, bringing $273 million in preferred sales. The industry’s first and only network for home-based agencies counts more than 500 affiliates nationwide. The organization announced the figures at its Travel Market conference, taking place September 24-27 at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.

NEST's expansion continues during a strong upward trajectory for the home-based agency segment. The Travel Institute reports 71 percent of travel advisors now operate as independent contractors, while 29 percent work as agency employees

At the same time, demand for professional travel advisor services continues to climb. Future Market Insights estimates the global market for travel agency services at $572.8 billion and forecasts annual growth of 10.4 percent, reaching $1.5 trillion by 2036. North America dominates the travel agency market with over 45 percent of the share, according to Dojo Business.

"NEST has created a collaborative family where home-based travel entrepreneurs can thrive," said NEST President Kathryn Mazza-Burney. "Each agency benefits from strategic guidance from experienced Business Analysts, innovative marketing programs, and proprietary technology solutions that help them operate more efficiently and grow revenue. As our affiliates succeed, they spread the word about the value of the network, fueling interest from high-quality agencies across the country."

NEST agencies have access to a range of exclusive programs, resources and tools to support growth in an increasingly crowded market. Dedicated Business Analysts (BAs) partner with agencies to identify opportunities to maximize marketing effectiveness, leverage technology more strategically, and increase revenue. BAs create growth plans tailored to each agency's goals and provide ongoing coaching to strengthen long-term performance.

The network's consumer website, www.yourvacationspecialists.com, sends prospects to agencies via its advisor search platform. Additional affiliation benefits include lead-generation programs, higher commission opportunities that allow advisors to keep 100 percent of their earnings, profit-sharing program, proprietary technology, preferred supplier relationships, exclusive events and professional development programs, and community of peers who support each other’s success.

Amid its rapid growth, NEST continues to maintain strict affiliation standards. Agencies must be independently owned, home-based businesses and meet preferred supplier sales requirements to receive an invitation to join the network.
