The Pierre NY, A Taj Hotel, has announced the appointment of Lou Reynolds as director, luxury sales. Reynolds, who joins the five-star hotel effective immediately, will work closely with Mary Beth O’Connor, director of sales and marketing.
In her role, Reynolds will carry out the duties and responsibilities for the leisure, corporate business travel and corporate group sales segments and manage all of them for The Pierre. Reynolds is well traveled in the USA, Canada, Europe and Latin America.
“We are delighted to have Lou join our team at a time when The Pierre is getting increasingly busy with both individual and corporate travelers returning to NY after a prolonged absence,” said O’Connor in a press note.
Reynolds joins The Pierre from Marriott International, where she was account director, international group sales representing nine New York City hotels for the Sheraton, Westin, and W Hotels; Luxury Brands for the Latin America, Spain, and Portugal markets. She also held the role of sales manager, large group where she managed the group sales effort for W Hotels (Luxury), Marriott, Westin, Element and Autograph Collection Brands in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and New Jersey. She has worked extensively in the business travel market exceeding revenue goals, increasing growth share for stakeholders, and establishing successful and long-term relationships with clients spanning over 18 years from her previous roles.
Reynolds is certified as a Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) from Cornell University; she was also a Starwood University Graduate MBA for seven years.
