Sabre Hospitality Announces Partnership with Sensible Weather

Sabre Hospitality, a software and technology provider in the travel industry, has announced a new partnership with Sensible Weather Technologies, a provider of Weather Guarantee services. This collaboration will allow guests booking through Sabre Hospitality’s SynXis Booking Engine to benefit from weather protection for their stays.

Under this agreement, Sensible’s Weather Guarantee will be seamlessly integrated into the SynXis platform. For hotels that opt-in, guests will be automatically reimbursed for specific weather-related events while they are on site, enabling them to book alternative experiences.

“This collaboration with Sensible Weather supports Sabre’s broader eCommerce retailing strategy,” said Ethan Wiseman, Head of Distribution Product Management for Sabre Hospitality. “By integrating the leading weather guarantee product, we are transforming the booking journey, giving consumers more confidence to commit to travel plans. Our integration with Sensible Weather is yet another example of how Sabre Hospitality is driving the transformation of hotel eCommerce by empowering hoteliers with innovative services that meet evolving traveler needs.”

Sensible’s Weather Guarantee, embedded within the SynXis platform, helps hotels boost booking conversions, reduce cancellations, and enhance guest satisfaction by ensuring a positive experience, regardless of weather disruptions. By offering a Weather Guarantee at the point of booking, Sabre and Sensible Weather are elevating the guest journey.

“We know weather is among the top concerns for travelers, and our mission is to give them peace of mind when booking their hotel stays online,” said Nick Cavanaugh, Ph.D., CEO of Sensible Weather. “Consumers feel more confident booking when they have the protection of a Weather Guarantee available to them. Sensible’s integration into the SynXis platform offers a seamless way for hotels to potentially increase booking conversion at checkout, in addition to enhancing guest satisfaction when unexpected weather impacts their trip.”
