Shelby Steudle has been appointed the new president of Pavlus Travel & Cruise, a travel agency based in Albuquerque that specializes in luxury travel. A 24-year Pavlus veteran, Steudle most recently served as Pavlus’ vice president of consumer marketing. She also has extensive experience with Pavlus in corporate management, cruise sales, guest relations, airline sales, accounting and other aspects of the full-service agency business.
Craig Pavlus, CEO and owner of Pavlus Travel, who previously served as president, announced Steudle’s promotion. He’ll continue as CEO and also focus on Pavlus Travel’s expansion into new luxury travel initiatives. “After more than two decades of service to Pavlus Travel, Shelby Steudle is highly deserving of this promotion and I’m looking forward to her helping me lead the agency strategically as well as focusing on day-to-day agency operations,” Pavlus said.
“While I’ll continue to be involved in the agency, the goal is to allow me to spend more time on developing new luxury travel initiatives that both enhance our revenue streams and also benefit our valued clients,” he emphasized. While the agency will not release any details about those initiatives at present, noting that it’s a bit premature, “fostering agency revenue growth and developing new services and options for our clients are our top goals,” Pavlus noted.
In June, Pavlus Travel & Cruise, an affiliate of Travel Leaders Network, was recognized at the annual Travel Leaders Network EDGE conference in Aurora, CO. On behalf of his agency team, Pavlus accepted the President's Award for the “Largest Agency Revenue Growth.” Steudle has been a big part of that growth and is already highly involved with the day-to-day operations of the business, including managing the reception, consumer marketing and guest relations departments.
“Having well-established relationships with many high-level travel industry executives, I look forward to leading Pavlus Travel into the future and growing our business substantially,” said Steudle. In 2006, Steudle became director of consumer marketing, created a unique travel agency referral program, and was promoted to vice president of consumer marketing in 2015. Now she’s ready for the next chapter.
“I am so proud of our team’s many accomplishments and humbled to be moving into this new position of president,” Steudle said. “I look forward to what’s ahead as we strive day in and day out to create incredible, memory-making vacation experiences for our clients.”
