Interestingly, Niagara falls is so popular that one of its component waterfalls, Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side, merited its own spot on the list, at number 12, with well over 76,000 hashtags of its own.
The United States was the most popular country in terms of waterfalls on the list, accounting for seven spots – Niagara Falls, Multnomah Falls, Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Snoqualmie Falls and Shoshone Falls. While much smaller, Iceland was the second-most popular, accounting for four waterfalls on the list.
Showerstoyou said that it included all hashtag variations of waterfall names in the results. The data represents live Instagram scores that were collected on September 10.
