Travel Leaders Corporate announced a number of new tools at this year’s Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention, which took place August 3 – 7 in Chicago, including a new bleisure offering and new data and benchmarking solutions.
At the conference Travel Leaders announced Concierge, a new offering for bleisure travelers, or travelers looking to combine a business trip with a vacation. Designed to support the expanding popularity of the segment, Concierge will provide business travelers access to more than 20,000 bookable leisure activities, ranging from paella-making classes in Madrid to a private tour of São Paulo, skip-the-line tickets, immersive local VIP experiences and more. The new Concierge service is powered by Viator, a TripAdvisor-owned marketplace for tours, activities and attractions.
Following a successful beta test earlier this year, Concierge is now available to all Travel Leaders Corporate clients to integrate into their managed travel programs. Meetings and incentive clients have the option of using Concierge for offsite activities during meetings and incentive trips.
Concierge automatically sends a curated list of offerings based on a traveler’s specific itinerary. The online booking platform also provides user-generated reviews for all activities.
New Data and Benchmarking Tools
Travel Leaders Corporate also announced two new offerings on its Business Travel Intelligence (BTI) platform: BTI Essentials and BTI Plus.
BTI Essentials shows spend data by category (such as air or hotel), as well as the savings left on the table due to policy non-compliance and incomplete or insufficient supplier sourcing. Additionally, BTI Essentials enables users to drill down to identify spend and savings potential by individual traveler, department or region. BTI Essentials provides program strategy support by allowing travel managers to conduct “what if” scenarios that calculate additional savings when factors are changed.
BTI Essentials also allows for trend analysis year over year based on supplier data; codes for explanations, such as a traveler declining the lowest-priced airline ticket due to airport distance; and the ability for the client to brand reports with their company logo and identifiers for internal use.
BTI Plus builds on BTI Essentials capabilities and offers clients the ability to add their expense and payment data to fully understand their travel program from multiple dimensions.
Users of BTI Plus also have access to dashboards to monitor and analyze out-of-program spending. This tool allows travel managers to:
- Reduce costs by addressing program leakage and leveraging agency-negotiated agreements
- Show true volume of business by vendor for better RFP influence and compliance
- Recognize vendor preferences outside current agreements
Finally, Travel Leaders Corporate sponsored the welcome kick off of the conference on August 3. Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales for Travel Leaders Corporate and Travel Leaders Network Mike Boult, along with Alon Zaibert, vice president of corporate sales for Travel Leaders Corporate, performed as “The Blues Brothers,” as shown in this video:
