Trevello World Holdings has announced the creation of a U.S. division of Trevello, appointing industry veteran Erwing Hernandez as president to lead the expansion. With more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry, Hernandez will spearhead Trevello’s U.S. strategy, driving growth, innovation and new opportunities for travel advisors as the company establishes its presence in the world’s largest travel market. The new host agency will launch on May 1, 2025.
As president, Hernandez will lead Trevello’s U.S. division, overseeing operations, sales and advisor engagement to accelerate growth and strengthen the company’s position in the market. Most recently, Hernandez served as senior vice president at Travel Planners International (TPI), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s success. Over more than two decades with TPI, he held key leadership positions, including general manager and corporate vice president, leading initiatives that drove growth, strengthened supplier relationships and enhanced support for travel advisors.
Originally from Venezuela, Hernandez relocated to Orlando, FL, where he earned a degree in Economics from the University of Central Florida. Recognized as one of Travel Agent magazine’s "100 Rising Stars," his career has been defined by a passion for empowering travel advisors, advancing technology-driven solutions and optimizing business strategies to drive long-term success.
Trevello also recently announced its acquisition of Gifted Travel Network (GTN), marking its official entry into the U.S. market earlier this year. GTN will remain as a separate division of Trevello World Holdings under the leadership of co-founder and CEO, Jen Cochrane.
