Internova Travel Group has named airline industry veteran Ralph Susca as senior vice president, partner relations. Susca has worked for American Airlines for 28 years, most recently as district sales manager in the Greater New York City area where Internova was one of his key accounts. He starts with the company on April 10 and will report to Peter Vlitas, executive vice president, partner relations. His responsibilities will include bolstering Internova’s strategic airline relationships in order to maximize the marketing and sales of their products to the company’s more than 100,000 travel advisors globally.
The Beverly Hilton has named David Ecija as general manager of the 566-room hotel. In his new role, Ecija oversees all aspects of the hotel’s day-to-day operations, streamlines guest experiences, implements strategic sales and marketing initiatives and executes the hotel’s numerous high-profile events, galas and conferences. He joins The Beverly Hilton from Hilton West Palm Beach and The Ray Hotel, Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton in Florida where he served as cluster general manager.
In his previous position, Ecija managed and delivered top-notch guest experiences for the two hotels while navigating a changing industry environment. His experience also includes international management and hotel operations positions with Hilton throughout Europe, including GM roles at Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa and Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona, Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi, among others.
Hillary Sandbach has been appointed complex director of marketing for Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort and Arizona Biltmore, a Waldorf Astoria Resort. In her new role, she will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications plans that drive growth for both resorts, while bringing awareness to the luxury portfolio in each respective market.
Most recently, Sandbach was the director of marketing for Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, where she played an integral role during the property’s most extensive renovation in 30 years. Prior, she was the director of marketing for Hyatt in the Hawaiian Islands, and was previously appointed to multiple key marketing roles during her nearly eight years at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.
The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas has appointed Maggie Mojica as the property’s new director of sales and marketing. A respected sales and marketing professional, Mojica joins the resort from The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad where she was the director of sales – group and catering. She is also the former director of sales at The St. Regis New York, where she earned the “Circle of Excellence” Award following her first year at the property.
